RESPEx 2018 is a program that combined products Port Dickson Polytechnic students, Malaysian Polytechnics and products from Medan, Jakarta, Aceh and South Korea. This is a third students' products exhibition that involved participants from Malaysia, Indonesia and Korea. RESPEx 2018 saw the involvement of Ansan University, Dongguk University and Korea University. A total of 135 projects had been gathered with more than 400 participants. About 45 projects and from 70 participants came from foreign delegations. Student products were divided into the following categories of computer graphics, computer animation, multimedia, design, architectural design, heritage architecture, civil engineering, electrical, mehanical and marketing. The format of evaluation is 85 to 100 scores award gold medals, 65 to 85 were awarded silver medals while scores from 50 to 65 were awarded the bronze medal. One of the best projects from 135 projects was awarded with the RESPEx 2018 award. For this RESPEx 2018 opening of the program was officiated by YB Dr Rafie NS Exco. While for the closing ceremony was officiated by Dr Setiawan Hardono Assistant Director of Malaysian Polytecnic. A total of 16 judges have been selected to evaluate the projects this time. The elected judges are those who have served as senior architects, senior engineers, academics, entrepreneurs, and professors from abroad. Host for project is a collaboration beween Medan State Polytechnic, COT Politeknik Port Dickson, Port Dickson Polytechnic Research and Innovation Unit.
